Job Summary
Conduct general activity programs and supportive maintenance activities for residents while reporting directly to the supervising OTR. Maintain accurate treatment records and co-sign progress notes with the supervising Registered Occupational Therapist, ensuring all paperwork adheres to company policies. Communicate continuously with personnel regarding patient treatment programs and make recommendations for adjustments as needed. Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs, pivoting transfers, and driving up to 2 hours occasionally. Follow all established policies and procedures, utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills. Overtime hours available.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure
- Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
- Hold a permanent or be eligible to apply to apply for a COTA license to practice in the state (as applicable) through the Board of Medical Examiners
- Comprehensible verbal communication skills
- Visual acuity corrected to 20/20
- Tactile discrimination
- Fine hand manipulation, bilaterally
- Heavy grasp, bilaterally
- Legible written communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs from floor to knuckle occasionally
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs from knuckle to shoulder occasionally
- Must be able to lift up to 10lbs overhead occasionally
- Must be able to pivot transfer 150lbs occasionally
- Must be able to carry up to 50lbs occasionally
- Must be able to push/pull 75lbs, 100ft occasionally
- Must be able to kneel, squat, stoop up to 15 minutes occasionally
- Must be able to drive up to 2 hours occasionally
- Must be able to stand up to 2 hours frequently
- Must be able to follow all established policies and procedures of the company

- Strong recommendation of membership to the American Occupational Therapy Association and State organizations
