Job Summary
Provide quality ongoing therapy to patients within the facility per physician's orders, performing treatment and related duties delegated by the therapist. Communicate on an ongoing basis with the therapist, residents, and staff regarding program progress and resident condition changes. Consult with the therapist and physician regarding changes in resident condition during treatment and prepare meaningful reports. Deliver therapy to residents upon written orders from the attending physician while maintaining department records as per facility policy. This role supports a Medicare/Medicaid-certified home health agency serving older adults in Montrose, CO, with a team of nurses, rehab therapists, and home health aides.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Therapy Assistant accredited curriculum
- Is a registered assistant or is eligible for registration in the state of Colorado
- Ability to understand medical terminology and how it applies to Therapy in order to communicate with residents, staff and physicians, and to prepare meaningful reports
