Job Summary
Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities to restore task performance and promote self-sufficiency. Conduct community reintegration activities and provide training to individuals and family members involved in rehabilitation. Document training results and report status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, and attending physician. Requires a certified occupational therapy assistant degree, current COTA certification, and two years of experience with traumatic brain injury or neuro-rehabilitation. Schedule is PRN, 16-24 hours per week in Montgomery, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation technique
