Job Summary
Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities to restore task performance and promote self-sufficiency. Conduct community reintegration activities during physical activity and provide training to individuals and others involved in their rehabilitation. Document training results and report status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members. This full-time role in Fayetteville, WV, offers flexible scheduling, medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement. Candidates must hold a certified training degree, current COTA certification, and at least two years of experience with traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation technique
