Costumed Character Performer - Mrs. Claus

Job Summary
Lead and perform in character-themed shows using scripts and improvisation, engaging audiences in live activities while wearing bulky costumes. Encourage guest participation, promote recreation facilities, and serve as a host for live events. Explain safety rules, monitor facility activities, and respond to emergencies or unsafe situations per local procedures. Prepare for shows, clean equipment, and maintain professional appearances. Perform inside hot costumes for extended periods, work with large groups of children, and stand for long durations. CPR and First Aid certifications required. High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Minimum one year of customer or sales experience; previous public performance or acting experience desirable.
Required Qualifications

- Previous public performance, acting, and entertainment experience

- Must be capable of performing in front of, and engaging audiences in live-show activities
- Must have demonstrated experience in previous roles performing the following: accurately and consistently portray the pre-determined style, characteristics and mannerisms of each role without any deviation
- Must have demonstrated experience in previous roles performing the following: perform inside bulky, hot costumes for long periods of time
- Must have demonstrated experience in previous roles performing the following: maintain size and weight requirements based on costume's pre-determined size
- Must have demonstrated experience in previous roles performing the following: work with large quantities of groups and children
- Must have demonstrated experience in previous roles performing the following: stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
- Must be able to Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps
- Must be able to Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Must be able to Identify and distinguish colors
- Must be able to Wear and carry special events props and gear for long periods of time
- Must be able to Perform inside bulky costume for long periods of time
