Job Summary
Assist performers during shows and events with costume fittings, changes, alterations, and maintenance of appearance and condition. Learn, clean, and comply with safe use of chemicals, products, and equipment such as washing and sewing machines. Collaborate with leadership to maintain quality costumes through repairs, fitting, and laundering of costumes and undergarments. Proactively set up workspaces and dressing rooms, then label, iron, steam, and check all costume pieces in the venue prior to talent arrival. Support performers by hanging costumes after each change and maintain performer costume piece lists including laundry schedules and dress rehearsal needs. Availability includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 18 or older
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to learn new techniques and laundering methods
- Good judgement
- Commitment to safety
- Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to quickly shift creative gears based on operational needs
- Availability to work some weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
