Job Summary

Lead operational costume design and development projects from initial planning to final delivery and installation. Act as the face of the projects to all levels of stakeholders from executives to hourly union cast. Responsible for coordinating project planning (scope, content, timelines, budget), overseeing project buyers, and ensuring balance between cost, quality, and timeliness. Collaborate with Pre-Production and Costume Designer to transition development into mass production for offshore and domestic manufacturing, and document designs in YuniquePLM, GUS, and related costume collateral. Present designs to senior executives and ensure design intent aligns with manufacturing feasibility. Requires 5+ years in garment-focused product development and 3+ years leading project teams; strong garment construction, textile selection, budget tracking, and cross-functional communication skills. This is a temporary role with no guarantee of permanent placement; travel up to 20%; travel-friendly and able to obtain a valid passport.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in product development focusing on the garment industry
  • 3+ years experience in leading project teams
  • Experience using financial systems to track project and/or budget health
  • Experience in delivering compelling, insightful, & accurate presentations to all levels of clients, including senior executives
  • Experience with garment construction
  • Experience picking the right textile for specific uses based on the textile properties and the end-use
  • Experience communicating with a variety of collaborators (written and verbal)
  • Experience working in a team environment where collaboration is key
  • Experience in planning, problem-solving, conflict resolution, influencing, and negotiating
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain a valid Passport
  • Ability to work around all types of fabrics, fibers, and synthetic furs
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
