Costing Analyst

The Costing Analyst role focuses on developing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate cost data to support financial planning, operational decision-making, and business strategy. Responsibilities include creating detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, overhead, equipment, and production; evaluating variances between estimated, standard, and actual costs; collaborating with operations, procurement, and finance to validate assumptions and improve cost accuracy; supporting new product introductions and engineering changes through cost modeling and financial impact assessments; maintaining cost databases and reporting tools to track trends and risks; conducting profitability and margin analysis at product, customer, or project levels; participating in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-reduction initiatives to identify efficiency opportunities; preparing business cases and financial models for new opportunities and capital investments; ensuring costing processes comply with internal controls and financial standards; and performing related duties as needed.
