Job Summary

Conduct detailed cost estimating, budgeting, and cost planning across all project phases while preparing periodic cost reports for senior staff and client submission. Review cash flow prepared by junior technical staff and identify cost risks and opportunities to recommend value-enhancing strategies. Administer change management processes, including evaluation, negotiation, and approval of change orders, with minimal supervision. Validate contractor and vendor invoices, support procurement activities such as RFP preparation and bid evaluation, and attend bi-weekly meetings to review procurement and change order status. Manage project closeout documentation to ensure contractual compliance and successful completion.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-year Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS), Construction Management, or a related field
  • four years or relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of cost management principles
  • Strong understanding of construction methods
  • Strong understanding of contract administration
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be highly articulate
  • Clear and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Strong decision-making abilities
  • Must have people management experience
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Must thoroughly understand and utilize Excel
  • Ability to work on a computer
  • Ability to answer and speak on a telephone

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: 4-year Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS), Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
