Job Summary

Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support data center construction cost services on a large-scale program located in Jefferson, Indiana, just outside the Louisville, Kentucky area. Responsibilities include advising clients on strategies, managing prequalification of vendors, assessing proposals and bids, chairing bid interviews, and managing the appointment process; developing project estimates (construction, fees, direct work, and other costs); reviewing estimates from junior team members; presenting findings to clients; supporting value engineering and risk assessment; establishing cost reporting schedules and tracking budgets; maintaining commercial risk registers; supporting cost meetings; reviewing payment applications and change orders; managing invoicing; benchmarking performance; supporting final accounting, post-contract audits and closeouts; participating in post-contract reviews and lessons-learned; developing procedures for handover and closeout; using Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms, Cost Estimating Software, and Take-off Software; SOX control responsibilities as applicable. Required education and experience include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years in cost management, with RICS accreditation valuable; experience in data center or large campus environments and strong stakeholder skills; on-site presence may be required at times.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a cost management role within the construction industry
  • RICS accreditation or working toward certification is valuable
  • Experience supporting cost management on medium to large-scale construction projects, preferably within data center, industrial, or large campus environments
  • Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs
