Job Summary
Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support construction cost services for our clients. Responsibilities include advising clients on strategies, managing prequalification of vendors, assessing proposals and bids, chairing bid interviews, developing project estimates, presenting value engineering recommendations and risk assessments, managing cost reporting and cost control processes, reviewing change orders and contractor entitlements, handling invoicing, benchmarking performance, and conducting final accounting and post-contract audits. Requires a Bachelor’s degree related to construction and 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience; on-site presence may be required. RICS accreditation is valuable; strong communication skills are essential. On-site Irvine, CA based with possible client-driven adjustments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in cost management within construction
- Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects; ideally in complex or technically advanced facilities
- RICS accreditation is valuable
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters (procurement routes, value management, value engineering)
- Strong communication skills
- On-site presence may be required depending on client needs
