Cost Manager (NRM1)

Job Summary
Prepare consistent and accurate cost estimates and elemental cost plans for capital building projects using NRM1/2. Support scheme delivery to maintain control of the approved baseline, including cost assurance, risk review, and verification of data. Provide detailed cost analysis and reporting to support commercial decision-making while engaging with Trusts, advisors, and contractors to build robust cost management frameworks. Contribute to change control, cost assessment of changes, and business case reviews to drive cost savings and improve predictability. Mentor regional team members and participate in networking pursuits to support the national health sector growth plan.
Required Qualifications
- NRM1/2 knowledge and experience
- Experience of working within programmes of transformation and/or major projects with significant scale and complexity
- Able build trust across all internal and external stakeholders
- Active supporter of continuous improvement and active learning across complex stakeholder environments
- Experience in dealing with complex and challenging situations
- Act's calmly to resolve issues and conflicts in a pragmatic and non-adversarial way
- Team leadership and management
- Experience using NRM1/2 across projects of different scale
- Relevant technical qualification with demonstrable track record in delivering major projects and programmes of significant value and complexity
- Strong client-focused approach with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Working towards or holding an applicable professional qualification
- Experience in construction consultancy, healthcare/life science projects, or digital software for project management
