Job Summary
Prepare detailed cost estimates for new products, customer quotes, and engineering changes by analyzing material, labor, overhead, tooling, freight, and outside processing costs. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales to gather data, review customer specifications and bills of material, and develop estimating models and standard cost databases. Identify cost-saving opportunities, recommend process improvements, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist with margin analysis and profitability reporting. Maintain documentation supporting all estimates and pricing decisions while participating in customer quote reviews and project launch meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of material
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Must complete pre-employment drug screen
- Must comply with cybersecurity, information security, and CUI handling policies
- Must complete mandatory security training
- Must complete CMMC/ITAR compliance training (if role involves CUI)
- Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status (for select positions)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Understanding of Aerospace Aluminium sheet-metal fabrication processes, tool manufacturing, titanium forming, assembly structures and BOMs, and Machining
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, labor standards, and material costing
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
