Job Summary
Join HFS Company as a Cost Estimator, responsible for producing detailed construction cost estimates in accordance with client requirements and providing input to the A/E team regarding potential impact on costs. Coordinate with the design team from project inception to completion, leveraging over 5 years of experience in large-scale commercial projects. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction and certification as a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE). Strong knowledge of cost estimating, ability to read and interpret construction documents, and proficiency in estimating software are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years recent construction cost estimating experience for large scale commercial construction projects
- Solid knowledge of cost estimating for large scale commercial building construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering construction documents
- Thorough understanding of applicable codes and standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization, planning and time management habits
- Excellent math skills and ability to analyze numerical data
- Proficient with construction cost estimating software such as MCASES, RSMeans, or Procore
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) preferred
