Job Summary
Forecast project costs and accurately estimate all production and resource costs according to project specifications. Prepare detailed estimates including quantity take-offs, analysis, and studies for items incorporated in assigned scope. Lead document management for projects by receiving drawings, providing proper file structure, and distributing information to stakeholders. Serve as liaison with trade partners, design teams, and clients to manage assigned partners and coordinate bids with subcontractors. Conduct site walkthroughs, support constructability reviews, and represent the company at pre-bid conferences and award meetings. Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for different contract types, including Lump Sum and Guaranteed Maximum Price.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering & Management
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Management of competing demands, and meet established deadlines
- Experience with Interior Fit-Out Construction and compressed project schedules
- Strong technical understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts/subcontracts and design intent
- Ability to read and interpret plans and analyze costs, quantities, and scope of work
- Solid knowledge of construction budgeting, estimating principles, and bidding practices
- Solid understanding of construction project management principles, scheduling, subcontractor management, and field coordination
- Strong financial management skills including exposure to cost tracking, budget reconciliation, and change order management
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), Procore, BlueBeam, Estimating Software, Microsoft Project
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic, with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
- Familiar with operating procedures and methods of other departments – Procurement, Operations
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, push/pull and lift up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
- Travel required to and from job location; project job sites will require the use of personal protective equipment and appropriate footwear
