Cost Estimator Associate

Job Summary
Collaborate with cost analysts and subject matter experts to develop life cycle cost estimates for DoD weapon system programs. Analyze historical data to create analogies and cost estimating relationships using regression, while studying technology trends and their impact on budget. Build complex spreadsheet-based program cost models and risk distributions for cost driver variables, applying statistics to quantify the probability of success for program plans. Interview functional specialists to support estimating methodology development and analyze software program progress tracking tools to develop metrics for program managers. Conduct business case analyses, trade studies, and economic analyses to assist in contract strategy and program plan execution.
Required Qualifications
- Cost analysis experience or relevant experience in quantitative analysis positions (economic analysis, analytics, statistics, regression)
- Proficient in analyzing datasets and developing statistical models
- Technical fast learner
- Ability to communicate with multiple functional teams to gather (programmatic/technical) data and translate it into cost impacts for the government
- Experienced problem solver
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments
- Ability to lead financial focused conversations with cross functional teams
- Approachable team player
- Skillset to successfully work a variety of projects and take direction from multiple sources at once
- BA/BS in relevant functional field
- MA/MS and 7 Years w 5 in DoD OR BA/BS and 9 Yrs exp w 5 in DoD
- Top Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications
- Experience/coursework using data science, machine learning, visualization and business intelligence tools a plus
- Experience with Agile Software Development and/or Software Acquisition Pathway (SWP) programs
