Job Summary
Produce accurate cost estimates for hard-bid and large-scale dredging projects by reviewing project plans, drawings, and specifications. Develop execution plans and overview drawings for bid presentations, then present estimates and findings to senior management during review sessions. Manage multiple estimating assignments while providing support to on-site Project Managers and updating project costs throughout construction. Apply strong analytical skills to evaluate risks, production assumptions, and cost drivers, communicating recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders. Work in a collaborative team environment with opportunities for mentoring and exposure to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Minimum Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in developing project estimates
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in cost estimating, construction estimating, project controls, or a related field is preferred
