Job Summary
Develop and maintain product cost calculations and cost models to drive Cost of Goods improvements across ASML's supply chain. Analyze product cost drivers, manufacturing processes, and business uplifts to support Design-to-Cost activities and supplier selection. Define manufacturing process flows for parts, assemblies, and modules while validating supplier quotations and identifying cost reduction opportunities. Collaborate with Development & Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, and suppliers across Precision Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electronics, and Optics domains. Requires a Bachelor or Master degree in relevant engineering fields with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or cost engineering. Occasional business travel may be expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, supplier engineering, cost engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product structures, and cost drivers
- Experience working with engineering, sourcing, and supplier stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business insights
- Effective stakeholder management across multiple disciplines and organizational levels
- Ability to influence without formal authority
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Curiosity and willingness to develop expertise across multiple technology domains
- Team player with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Regular collaboration with local and international stakeholders, including Cluster GSMs, Cluster Sourcing Leads, and key Cost of Goods stakeholders
- Occasional business travel
- Access to controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.)
- Legal authorization to access controlled technology prior to beginning work
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing product cost calculations, should-cost models, or manufacturing cost assessments
- Experience in a high-tech, semiconductor, precision manufacturing, optics, electronics, or capital equipment environment
- Experience in one or more manufacturing domains such as precision mechanics, electronics, PCBA, optics, ceramics, and advanced materials
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, product cost drivers, and supplier capabilities
