Job Summary
The Cost Engineer is responsible for financial tracking, analysis, and reporting of project costs, revenue, and profit. Key responsibilities include monthly closing of job costs, tracking project progress, preparing forecasts and various reports, handling billing requisitions, and managing payments and contract modifications. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Financial background or education
- 2-3 years experience in highway, bridge, rail, and public construction
- Experience with self-perform work
- Aptitude for data analysis and computation
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Must work well in a collaborative environment
- Must have strong time management skills

- Registration/Certificates such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
