Cost Engineer (Architectural)

Job Summary

Prepare and review cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for architectural scope, including finishing, partitions, and ceilings. Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and revisions to update estimates and budgets, while managing change orders and tracking cost impact evaluations. Collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement, and Design teams to monitor costs, provide variance analysis, and support contract negotiations. Review subcontractor payment applications, maintain detailed cost records, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. Requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of experience, and proficiency in cost management software. Preferred experience includes high-tech facility construction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cost engineering or estimating in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of architectural construction scope, materials, and installation methods
  • Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam, Timberline, Sage, CostX, or equivalent)
  • Experience in change management, takeoff tools, and cost tracking systems
  • Familiarity with construction contracts (e.g., AIA, FIDIC, GMP, Cost-plus, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative on-site environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in High-Tech Facility construction (e.g. semiconductor Fab, Data center.)
  • Bilingual (English, Korean)
