Cost Controller

Job Summary
Cost Controller responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reporting project costs for Saudi Arabia operations and regional projects. Key duties include monitoring budgets, commitments, actual costs, accruals, forecasts, and cost-to-complete; preparing and updating cost estimates and budgets; verifying supplier, vendor, and subcontractor invoices and claims; supporting planning and progress monitoring; tracking variations, change orders, and cost impacts; producing monthly project cost reports, budget-versus-actual analysis, and cash flow inputs; coordinating with Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Operations; reviewing tenders and pricing assumptions; identifying cost risks and recommending corrective actions; and attending project meetings to resolve cost-related issues. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, mobility within refinery/plant environments, and willingness to travel to off-site locations. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong budgeting, forecasting, and ERP/Excel skills. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project cost control, project accounting, planning, or commercial finance
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, invoice verification, project reporting, and variance analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP, accounting, or project management systems
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage
