Job Summary
Cost Controller/Engineer responsible for costing, budgeting, and cost control across Shutdown/Turnaround projects in Saudi Arabia. Core duties include developing detailed shutdown budgets (WBS/CBS) based on scope, labor, materials, and equipment; capturing actual costs and monitoring variances; performing variance analysis; evaluating cost variations and subcontractor claims within the commercial framework; preparing regular cost control reports and cash flow forecasts; and overseeing invoicing and procurement accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of costing/budgeting/ cost monitoring for shutdown/turnaround
- Budgeting & Estimation with detailed shutdown budgets (WBS/CBS)
- Cost Monitoring & Tracking including material consumption, manpower, subcontractor work
- Variance Analysis and corrective actions during high-pressure shutdowns
- Change Management for cost variations, change orders, subcontractor claims within commercial framework
- Reporting including daily/weekly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, final closing reports with lessons learned
- Invoicing and Procurement – reviewing subcontractor and supplier invoices and payment certificates for accuracy
