Job Summary
Tailor cost control approaches to client needs and implement systems to track budgets, expenditures, and forecasts. Develop Cost Breakdown Structures aligned with Work Breakdown Structures to control actual costs, while mapping estimates to Work Packages and Control Accounts. Lead accrual production to reflect Actual Cost of Work Performed and generate regular cost reports analyzing earned value management information. Provide status updates to management and train less experienced team members on cost control processes. Work alongside project delivery teams to ensure alignment with Finance, Commercial, and Project Managers. This role requires sole UK National status with UK MoD Security Clearance and 60% site attendance. Candidates must demonstrate experience in Earned Value Management, cost forecasting, and MS Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable Experience in Cost Control
- Familiarity of different cost performance reporting and cost forecasting techniques
- Experience leading Cost Control Assurance activities as part of project performance cadence
- A detailed understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting and performance reporting and analysis
- Practical experience of using MS Excel and other MS applications
- The ability to travel to client sites across the region as required
- Must be a SOLE UK National
- Must be able to achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC)
- SOX control responsibilities adherence where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Already holding SC Clearance
- Familiarity with at least one Cost Control tool
- An understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls (Scheduling, Risk Management, Reporting, Change Control) interact with Cost Control
- Familiarity with NEC contracts
