Cost Controller

Job Summary
Create and maintain standard costs and costed Bills of Material across multiple business units and entities. Perform item costing activities for Distribution Centers and Warranty Centers, ensuring accuracy before inventory transactions. Analyze cost variances, validate standard cost calculations, and recommend corrective actions to improve costing accuracy and efficiency. Develop financial reports on product costs and profitability while supporting global costing process deployment and compliance. Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to establish consistent cost management practices and streamline costing processes. This role is based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with a flexible hybrid schedule. The position requires 3–7 years of experience in product costing and proficiency with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in product costing, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or a similar role
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, JDE, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Fluent in spoken and written English
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CMA, CIMA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
- Strong regional accounting knowledge, including US GAAP and IFRS
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive execution
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Flexible attitude and ability to adapt in a dynamic, global environment
