Job Summary
Lead and manage the cost control function to drive financial efficiency by overseeing variance analysis on earned value and budget reports. Develop and deliver Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards while assisting in annual budgeting and forecasting. Partner with Operations and Finance to standardize accounting processes, prepare job costing reports, and identify issues through in-depth cost analysis of completed projects. Evaluate business processes to uncover improvements and present findings to various organizational levels. On-site in Spallumcheen, BC, this role requires a CA, CMA, or CPA designation with 5+ years in an analytical role. ACCIONA delivers sustainable infrastructure solutions across Canada.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in an analytical role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to suggest alternatives or challenge assumptions to explore opportunities to exceed plans
- Solid understanding of financial reporting principles and cost accounting
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Eligibility to work in Canada at the time of application and throughout their employment
- Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA)
- Prior cost control experience in road maintenance, or infrastructure industry
- Knowledge of Power BI and Explore
