Job Summary
Manage overall financial health of projects by developing and maintaining financial and equipment projections, allocating estimates into the financial system, and determining cost codes. Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phases for major subs and suppliers while handling billings, contract management, and change orders. Support EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedules, and provide financials and billings to accounting for monthly owner billings. Mentor the project team by developing Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approving timecards, and providing feedback. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction or Engineering with a minimum of six years of related experience. Base pay ranges from $113,500 to $170,300, with additional incentives available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Minimum six years of related previous experience
- Proven ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projects
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
- Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Current driver's license
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: commercial construction, renewable energy project development, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies
