Job Summary

Examine construction contract documents to ensure compliance and validate potential change orders and associated costs. Evaluate contractor requests to award (RTA) for subcontractors, monitor buyout savings, and provide recommendations to project management teams for review. Reconcile project budgets during monthly pay application reviews, verify schedules of values, and obtain detailed cash flow projections from contractors. Initiate purchase orders, manage internal approval processes for change orders, and ensure legal department review as necessary. Conduct weekly and biweekly meetings with external managers and consultants to review documentation and change order status, while mentoring internal Cost Engineers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, financing, or accounting
  • Advanced knowledge in construction contract documents and change management
  • Proficiency in financial and project management software (e.g., Workday, e-Builder, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
  • Ability to work within dynamic and diverse team and environment
  • Ability to lead and mentor others
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Seven or more years of experience in construction or project management

Desired Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in construction or project management
  • Prior experience in a leadership or management role
