Job Summary
Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for government programs. Prepare, review, and finalize monthly spend plans to support financial forecasting and compliance. Support pricing strategies for all contract types and analyze cost data to provide actionable insights to program and leadership teams. Collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting while maintaining adherence to contractual and regulatory standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 5-10 years of experience in program cost analysis within government contracting/manufacturing is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, with experience in Cost Point and Cognos preferred. US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in program cost analysis within government contracting/manufacturing
- Proven expertise in pricing and cost management
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Highly organized and able to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events
- Ability to react well under pressure and respond promptly to customer needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- General knowledge of Microsoft Outlook products
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Knowledge of MS Outlook
- Knowledge of MS Excel
- Knowledge of MS Word
- US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance
