Job Summary
Produce and present final cost plans and prepare construction cost estimates at all design stages for commercial, institutional, and residential projects across Canada. Manage estimating activities, conduct cost analysis and checking, and support value engineering, LEED analysis, and life-cycle costing. Liaise with clients and consultants throughout project stages, negotiate final accounts, and identify new business opportunities. Maintain mechanical and electrical cost estimates for all asset classes while utilizing marketing databases to drive growth.
Required Qualifications

- relevant experience
- Knowledge of Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering and design
- Provide estimate and cost planning
- Producing and presenting the final cost plan
- Preparing Construction Cost Estimate reports
- Managing estimating and cost planning activities
- taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan
- Ensuring that cost analysis, cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively
- Participating in Value engineering, LEED analysis and Life Cycle costing
- Provide input into value engineering
- negotiate and approve final accounts
- Maintain liaison with client and other consultants
- Preparing Mechanical/Electrical cost estimates
- all asset classes

- related to real estate throughout Canada
- Identify opportunities to develop new business
- report such opportunities to appropriate line manager
- utilize marketing database
- Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or related software
- Strong organizational abilities

- Good understanding of construction procurement methodologies
- Experience advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life‐cycle costing
- Exposure to or involvement in business development activities
- Experience preparing mechanical and electrical cost estimates
- complex construction projects
- Membership in a relevant professional organizations (i.e. RICS, CIQS, AACEI)
- Certification or designation from a professional organization
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems
