Job Summary
Cost Analyst role supporting a government program in Orlando, FL. Responsibilities include performing full range of cost analyses (LCCE, ROM, IGCE, ad hoc studies), developing CARDs, supporting program office estimate activities, applying mathematical and logical methods for estimating costs, maintaining cost and affordability models, analyzing complex data, building and defending budget requirements, forecasting funding, evaluating contracting strategy, planning acquisitions, identifying sustainment costs, determining funding needs for affected platforms, delivering solutions to baselined schedules, and preparing briefing materials for management and oversight. Requires US citizenship, active Secret clearance, Excel proficiency, familiarity with uncertainty/risk software, knowledge of Government Acquisition Programs, ability to manage large data sets and communicate findings, with preferred ACEIT/Crystal Ball/SEER certifications.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship is required
- Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with uncertainty/risk software packages
- Knowledge of the Government Acquisition Programs
- Ability to lead detail-oriented tasks and multi-task under minimal supervision
- Ability to present analytical results to senior leaders/stakeholders
- Ability to manage and work with large data sets
- Possession of excellent data gathering and analytical skills
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Preferred: Proficiency with ACEIT, Crystal Ball or SEER for IT
- Preferred: Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) or Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst (PCEA) certification
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline; Five to eight years’ experience performing cost analyses, financial management, and acquisition experience for DoD, intelligence, or civil agency programs; Prior experience supporting Government Acquisition Programs; Preferred: Prior DoD Acquisition Programs experience; Preferred: DoD Acquisition Programs (ACAT I-IV) experience
