Cost Accounting Manager leads budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting for a manufacturing site, partnering with the site general manager and operations team to influence financial decisions. The role involves deep analysis of financial statements and operational costs, development of cost models and simulations, automation of decision-making tools, monitoring working capital, driving process improvements, and leading audits. The position requires over 10 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing, a BS in accounting or finance (MBA preferred), and strong skills in Excel, Power BI, Power Query, ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365), and inventory management. Collaboration across organizational levels and willingness to lead diverse projects are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Over 10 years of hands-on experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial statement preparation within a manufacturing environment
- BS degree in accounting or finance; MBA preferred
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
- Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with Power Query, Power BI, financial modeling, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and automated financial tools
- Experience with ERP system implementation or upgrade; experience with supply chain accounting beneficial
