Cost Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Perform month-end cost accounting close entries, accruals, and analysis while maintaining Oracle product master files and production formulas. Prepare annual standard cost budgets, forecasts, and monthly account reconciliations, then analyze production costs to investigate variances and ensure proper procedures. Supervise Cost Accounting staff, evaluate internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and support business unit finance teams through continuous improvement initiatives like 5S and Kaizen. Interact with internal and external auditors as needed to ensure accurate, timely financial data available for business managers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of five to ten years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with standard cost accounting
  • Familiarity with bill of materials
  • Familiarity with month end inventory reporting and analysis
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP
