Job Summary
Role focuses on analyzing, tracking, and reporting manufacturing and operational costs; maintains standard cost models, performs variance analysis, and supports month-end/year-end close with cost of goods sold reconciliations. Partners with operations, supply chain, engineering, and finance leadership to ensure cost integrity, inventory valuation, and cost reduction initiatives. Responsibilities include BOM reviews, product profitability analysis, internal controls, audits support, budgeting/forecasting related to manufacturing costs, and cross-functional collaboration to drive margin improvements. Requires strong GAAP knowledge, ERP proficiency, advanced Excel skills, and effective communication to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing/production
- Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting and reconciliation
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial data modeling)
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate across finance, operations, supply chain, and engineering teams
