Cost Accounting Manager

Job Summary
Cost Accounting Manager responsible for driving scalable cost management, recognition, and reporting within a distributed, technology-focused organization. Lead system- and process-oriented cost accounting initiatives across procurement, operations, and finance, including automation of the cost life cycle, configuration improvements in NetSuite, and liaison with external auditors. Build and mentor a team of cost accounting and systems accounting professionals, oversee month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analyses, and develop robust internal controls. Apply IFRS guidance (including IFRS 16/IAS 38) to cost recognition for software/SaaS and services, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in reporting for a global tech company. Leverage data analytics and potential software engineering insights to raise the bar on reporting speed and accuracy, while navigating a multi-country, multi-currency environment and supporting public company reporting requirements. Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/ACCA or equivalent preferred)
- Experience leading cost accounting and systems accounting
- Strong IFRS knowledge including IFRS 16/IAS38
- Leadership or management experience
- Experience with ERP and expense management systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Multicountry/multi-currency experience
- Excellent English communication skills
- Ability to travel up to two weeks twice a year
