Cost Accounting Manager

Job Summary
The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for building out the cost accounting function and related systems, supporting accounting efforts for deployed inventory. Key responsibilities include maintaining standard cost methodologies, leading inventory accounting system design, establishing cost accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP, resolving inventory discrepancies, conducting variance analyses, and supporting physical inventory counts. This role requires expert knowledge in standard costing and inventory accounting, as well as strong communication skills for collaboration across various functional groups.
Required Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of standard costing, BOM’s, routings, and inventory accounting
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including excel, word, and powerpoint
- Strong variance and root cause analysis experience
- Clear communication skills, demonstrating the ability to partner across functional groups (supply chain, engineering, operations, finance)
- Exposure to energy hardware or other complex assemblies
Desired Qualifications
- CMA or CPA
- SQL or BI skills for cost analytics
- Advanced ERP experience, preferably in Odoo
- Experience or desire to operate in a high-growth environment
