Job Summary

Assist with inventory analysis, reconciliations, and supporting schedules while supporting cycle count reviews and variance investigations. Analyze purchase price variances, work order variances, and manufacturing costs to help prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entry support schedules. Maintain standard costs and product cost information within the ERP system, and support work-in-process inventory analysis and aging reviews. Prepare manufacturing cost reports and management reporting schedules, and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities. Support internal and external audit requests by gathering data and preparing documentation, and participate in special projects related to inventory management, cost accounting, and ERP initiatives. Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing personnel on various projects and assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
  • Rising Junior, Senior, or graduate student
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Prior internship, coursework, or project experience related to accounting, finance, manufacturing, or supply chain
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, or Corporate Accounting
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work with large data sets and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Interest in manufacturing operations, inventory management, and cost accounting

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Word and PowerPoint
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP
  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, and product costing
  • Curiosity about how products are designed, manufactured, and costed
  • Desire to develop technical accounting and financial analysis skills
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
