Cost Accounting Analyst

Job Summary
Cost Accounting Analyst responsible for inventory costing, tracking cost movements, and refining reporting processes. Prepare journal entries, reconcile inventory records, and analyze general ledger accounts. Monitor material costs, labor, and overhead to improve inventory reporting and track balances across product lines with variances and quarterly classifications. Ensure strong internal controls to support internal and external audits, and collaborate with Procurement and Operations to maintain accurate costing. Participate in cross-training with teammates and provide financial insights for projects. Proficiency with SAP pegging and distribution is a plus. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively to keep processes running smoothly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years experience in cost accounting OR graduate degree with 2+ years OR 8+ years in lieu of a degree
- Experience in cost accounting in operations or manufacturing
- SAP experience is a big plus, especially pegging and distribution
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Problem-solving ability
