Job Summary
Track and monitor raw materials and consumables inventory while supporting the identification of potential excess and obsolete inventory in coordination with Supply Chain and Operations. Aid in monitoring job close variances, provide root cause analysis, and assist in the month-end close process for inventory and cost of sales. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for inventory, work in process, job variances, returned material, and cost of sales, while maintaining financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls. Perform ad hoc analysis, prepare reports for financial audits, contribute to ERP system maintenance, and develop process controls and documentation. This role supports cross-functional requirements and continuous improvement initiatives within a global medical device manufacturing organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Related Field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in Cost Accounting work
- Sound understanding of accounting principles
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Self-directed and able to perform assignments independently; demonstrate proactive approach and is flexible with regards to change
- Knowledge of Epicor ERP systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
