Cost Accountant

Job Summary
Maintain cost data, analyze production and purchase variances, and monitor bill of materials to support operational reporting and commercial decision-making. Review product cost structures, reconcile inventory values between operational records and the general ledger, and perform month-end closing activities including stock counts at Group company locations. Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, and R&D teams to evaluate the financial impact of recipe and BOM changes. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 5-7 years of experience in cost accounting and proficiency in D 365 costing modules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5- 7 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, management accounting, manufacturing finance, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of costing methods, BOM costing, inventory valuation techniques
- Understanding of production processes, material consumption, overhead allocation, work-in-process, finished goods, and cost of goods sold
- Experience with D 365 costing modules
- Strong Excel skills for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
- Good understanding of accounting principles, inventory accounting, and month-end closing procedures
- Ability to investigate cost movements, identify root causes, and translate data into useful business insights
- High level of accuracy in costing, reconciliations, and master data review
- Proactive approach to reporting and resolving costing discrepancies and improving processes
Desired Qualifications
- CMA, ACCA, CA Intermediate, or equivalent professional qualification
