Cost Accountant - Laurinburg, NC

Job Summary
Manage product costing and margin analysis for manufactured house brands, determining the impact of modifications on pricing. Maintain cost data in Navision ERP by creating bills of material, updating obsolete items, and conducting production floor audits to verify as-built quantities. Approve job orders, track commodity costs for material surcharges, and maintain standard construction specifications and price files for quotations. Assist with quarterly inventory counts, valuation, and purchase price variance analysis. Interact with Sales, Engineering, Materials, and Production to ensure accurate margin information for the General Manager and Controller.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- minimum of 2 years related experience
- Accounting and Costing experience in a manufacturing industry
- Experience with Navision or other ERP systems
- Manufactured housing or construction industry knowledge
- Must have leadership and organizational skills
- Must be able to exercise independent judgement
- Must be able to research and problem solve
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as square and lineal footages, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Must have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 2 years related experience preferred
- Accounting and Costing experience in a manufacturing industry preferred
- Experience with Navision or other ERP systems is a plus
- Manufactured housing or construction industry knowledge helpful
