Job Summary
Cost Accountant responsible for recording journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and reporting on manufacturing costs and inventory. Tasks include analyzing costs, preparing monthly cost reports, KPI data collection for manufacturing operations, collaborating with multiple departments to develop annual budgets, calculating ROI for capital projects, ensuring internal controls, maintaining confidentiality of financial information, and supporting cross-functional teams with accurate financial reporting. Requires strong communication, multitasking, and proficiency with ERP/Excel/QuickBooks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing organization
- Experience with ERP systems, ERP implementation, and external audits is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with QuickBooks or payroll software
