Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant responsible for ensuring robust control and accuracy of inventory and WIP, alongside delivering insightful margin analysis to support profitability across our Sunderland manufacturing site. Develop, maintain, and review standard costs for raw materials, labour, and overheads; analyse variances (material, labour, overhead, PPV); perform detailed margin analysis by product/customer/line; manage inventory accounting and WIP in JD Edwards; lead cycle counts; support VAT returns; provide variance analysis to cost centre owners; assist budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A; utilise JD Edwards ERP; contribute to process improvements and automation; requires CIMA/ACCA or equivalent, with 5+ years in manufacturing cost/accounting; strong Excel, VAT knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration; site-based in Sunderland with occasional travel.
