Job Summary
Cost Accountant responsible for cost accounting and general ledger functions for assigned manufacturing plants; liaison between plants and HQ finance for cost controlling and financial reporting; prepare plant budgeting/forecasting reports; perform monthly close and variance analysis; ensure consistency between plants for cost expense categorization; issue monthly financial KPIs for plant cost controlling; reconcile monthly general ledger accounts; develop product cost standards; prepare financial data for internal/external auditors; support SOX controls; perform ad hoc analyses. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years in manufacturing finance/cost accounting; SAP FI/CO experience highly desired; SOX audit experience a plus; must be legally authorized to work in the United States; relocation not offered; commutable distance to St. Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent area of study
- Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or related field
