Job Summary
Cost Accountant at the Wadesboro facility responsible for analyzing production costs and variances, maintaining standard costs (including BOMs and routings), and supporting month/quarter/year close processes. Partners with operations, engineering, and supply chain to provide actionable insights on cost reduction and profitability. Performs cost and inventory variance analyses, cycle counts, and assists with budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling. Supports audits, maintains GAAP compliance and internal controls, and drives continuous improvement in cost efficiency. Proficient in Excel and related MS Office tools; strong communicator capable of working with suppliers and internal teams. The role emphasizes inventory valuation, cost reporting by product/customer/production line, and collaboration across finance and operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
