Job Summary
Develop and maintain standard product costs while analyzing manufacturing variances to provide detailed explanations. Prepare cost of goods sold and inventory valuation reports, supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes for manufacturing costs. Identify cost reduction opportunities, track their implementation, and perform profitability analysis for products and customers. Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, proficiency in ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, and advanced Excel skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for production costs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
- APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
