Job Summary
Monitor, analyze, and report on inventory valuation, production run rates, manufacturing variances, material prices, and freight costs. Create, maintain, and audit inventory master data, including item records, Bills of Materials, manufacturing routings, and related product structures to ensure data integrity. Coordinate all new item setup, item revisions, product obsolescence, and manufacturing master data changes while verifying monthly closing activities and processing cost allocations. Prepare, file, and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns while assisting in coordinating annual physical inventories and cycle count programs. Perform periodic audits of inventory master data to ensure completeness and adherence to company standards. Periodically visit manufacturing facilities to understand production processes and identify opportunities to improve costing accuracy and operational efficiency. Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures related to inventory item setup, inventory control processes, product costing, and sales tax administration. Assist with onboarding new EDI trading partners, document mapping validation, testing, and implementation activities. Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers.
