Job Summary
Cost Accountant responsible for tracking, reporting, and accountability of all product inventory related to production reporting for the Tubular Division. Duties include routine product costing for tubing and fittings, Sales Reporting and Cost of Goods Sold reconciliation, Product Returns coordination, and weekly/month-end labor reconciliation. Supports Quality and Production Planning, reviews GL activity, consolidates information, and prepares timely reporting to meet corporate deadlines. Provides backup coverage for the Accounting Specialist and Finance Manager in key duties. Applies knowledge of AX Dynamics/ERP, inventory tracking, and manufacturing processes to maintain safe, efficient operations and comply with month-end close cycles.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Business or Accounting
- Microsoft Applications including Excel
- Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP
- 1+ Year Manufacturing Experience
- 1+ Year Month End Close, General Ledger experience
- Inventory Control/Accountability
- Experience with AX Dynamics or similar ERP cost accounting systems
- Ability to review GL activity and prepare reporting
- Cross-training on AX and Shopfloor transactions
- SOX and audit support experience
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Process and Flow
