Cost Accountant/Analyst

Job Summary
Conduct monthly accounting closes and reporting in compliance with GAAP, analyzing variances across multiple locations. Process standard costs and accounting entries to meet cost improvement objectives, while reviewing margins and updating labor and overhead rates. Reconcile inventory reports to the general ledger, propose journal entries, and analyze obsolescence reserves. Prepare cost estimates for new products and support special projects as requested. Function as the department lead on physical inventories and assist with internal control improvements. Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 with occasional late nights and weekend hours during busy periods. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 3–5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required; no sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 3–5 years' Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in automating and improving processes to gain efficiency, improve accuracy and produce high quality work
- Strong cost system and inventory controls background
- Excellent analytical skills
- Sound understanding of accounting principles
- Strong PC skills and the ability to navigate within the Corsicana Mattress systems
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (No Sponsorship Available)
- Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00, occasional late nights and weekend hours during our busier times
- Occasional travel required to other facilities across the U.S to support projects
