Job Summary
Maintain standard cost records for material, labor, and overhead while analyzing manufacturing variances and preparing summary reports. Update Bills of Materials in the ERP system and support job and program cost tracking across production runs. Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports for CFO review, assist in compiling COGS data, and contribute to cost dashboards and KPI reports. Participate in physical inventory counts, reconcile inventory records, and ensure accounting entries comply with GAAP and company policies. Act as the finance department lead and primary point of contact in the CFO's absence.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of cost accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Solid understanding of GAAP, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAGE, NetSuite, or similar)
Desired Qualifications
- experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense
- Proficiency in Excel; experience building cost models and dashboards
- Familiarity with government contracting (FAR/DFARS) and DCAA requirements
- CPA or CMA in progress or completed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
