Job Summary
The Graduate Research Assistant will help develop socio-computational models for understanding coordinated cyber campaigns through different social dynamics. Responsibilities include literature surveys, hypothesis generation, theoretical evaluation, model development and operationalization across various social media platforms, and data management tasks such as collection and analysis. Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, alongside the capability to work specified hours and experience in programming and data management preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, Social Science, or a relevant discipline
- Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students
- Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in computer programming and data management
- Experience in reporting and technical writing
- Experience in research, including previous publications, reviewing scholarly articles
- Experience in social media mining, computational modeling of social science theories, and social network analysis tools
- Intermediate knowledge of Python
- Knowledge of DB systems and SQL language
